Home... Sweet!
Once again, West Feliciana Parish, and the lovely town of St. Francisville, LA will host the West Feliciana Classic during the Memorial Weekend in May, 2011. This year the event will include a number of rides and races for everyone, be they individual or family, novice to professional. There will be 4 rides/races, for younger and older, beginners to pros, in the town of St. Francisville and the rolling hills of West Feliciana Parish.
This is more than just a single weekend of cycling, and promises to highlight the advantages of riding for individuals and family members alike in beautiful West Feliciana Parish. This is a parish wide initiative embracing commitments to the delightful lifestyle available here! Beautiful rolling hills, unlike any other place in South Louisiana and the family friendly entertainment and healthy living enhanced by cycling are just the beginning. Most cyclists, like the people of West Feliciana, are friendly, helpful, and appreciative of the way of life here. This parish embraces the lifestyle of environmental awareness and sustainable and healthy living amid the quaint and historic backdrops of St. Francisville. The cultural and historic remnants of the past are appreciated in the shadows of Entergy’s Riverbend Nuclear Station, where clean nuclear energy is generated among the oaks and plantations of the old south. The educational opportunities in a top tier public school system coupled with parks and recreation facilities available to residents and visitors alike all say “Welcome” and West Feliciana wants cyclists to be a large part of this group.
Come ride St. Francisville and the Felicianas and imagine what it would be like to live here!
